Peter McGuinness named Impossible Foods CEO

McGuinness usually takes around pursuing the departure of Impossible’s chief science officer, John York, who left the organization before this year. York will be returning to Vanderbilt University, the business informed Bloomberg Information earlier this 12 months. He had served as Vanderbilt’s biochemistry section chair ahead of joining Impossible. 

McGuinness joined Chobani in 2013 as chief advertising and brand officer and turned its president in 2019, adding the chief running officer title a 12 months later. He remaining the yogurt maker before this month. McGuinness earlier worked in the company planet, most recently as CEO of DDB Chicago from 2011 to 2013. He was the chairman-CEO of Interpublic Team of Cos.’ Gotham in advance of departing in 2011 to be a part of DDB Chicago.

He spent much of his job at McCann Worldgroup, and began as an intern in McCann Erickson’s accounting office, and worked his way up, by age 30 earning the title of McCann Worldgroup government VP and throughout the world account director. Afterwards he invested time at Interpublic’s Momentum, in which he ran the Europe, Center East and Africa region just before Interpublic in 2008 requested him to operate Gotham.
