8:42 p.m. — The third struggle tonight is rapidly-tracked into a little clip. Brien from Period 8, Newton from Time 8, Bowen from Time 9 and Stephen from Season 6. Brien created his signature Filet O’Brien with Whipped Potatoes, Bacon, Brussels Sprouts and Crimson Wine Demi-Glace. Joe named the texture “sandy” and did not appreciate it. Newton well prepared Filet Mignon with Sweet & Tangy BBQ Glaze, Southern Greens and Chipotle Pommes Puree. Gordon suggests the fritter was cooked fantastically, but there was so a great deal warmth in the sauce that it wrecked the high quality. Bowen offered Filet Mignon Pot Stickers with Thai Chile Finger Lime Vinegar Sauce.
